AS I watch the news & see students taking a day off their education to vandalize & destroy other peoples property, I wonder if they fully understand the situation they face! Course fees are not payable at the point of use, but are only payable when the student, as a result of their enhanced education, starts to earn serious money, & then the amount per week is negligable - less than they spend on their mobile phones now! Considering that a large percentage 0f these students will probably abandon careers long before they earn the threshold the effect on students entering higher education is negligable. The students will still be responsible for paying their own living expenses, rich or poor!
Many students use further education to postpone entering the labour market & never intend to use their degrees or even finish the course! These students will be the first to protest & the last to admit that they went to university & never used their degree, because it would be admitting to wasting tax payers money.
My advice to students would be "look at what people are telling you about tuition fees, do some research & make your own mind up instead of being a destructive mindless sheep!"
